How Verification Works on Boss Tag
Three Types of Checks
Boss Tag verification uses three types of checks. AI-evaluated checks are performed by Boss Vision analyzing photos, serial numbers, and descriptions — these produce a Verification Score. User-attested checks involve documentation uploaded by the owner (receipts, certificates, service records) — these produce a Documentation Score. API-verified checks pull data from external sources like NHTSA for VIN decoding, USPTO for patent status, or county records for property deeds.
Dual Scoring System
Every asset receives two scores. The Verification Score (0-100%) reflects Boss Vision's confidence in the asset's authenticity and identity based on AI analysis of images and data. The Documentation Score (0-100%) reflects the completeness of supporting documentation. Both scores are combined to produce an overall letter grade from A (excellent, both scores 90%+) to F (insufficient, one or both scores below 50%).
What Your Grade Means
Grade A (90%+): eligible for immediate tokenization and maximum LTV lending. Grade B (80-89%): eligible for tokenization, full marketplace listing. Grade C (70-79%): eligible for listing with documentation recommendations. Grade D (60-69%): limited listing, not eligible for lending. Grade F (below 60%): requires additional verification or professional appraisal before proceeding. Higher grades unlock more platform features and better lending terms.
Improving Your Score
Upload more documentation (receipts, certificates, service records). Get a professional appraisal through Boss Tag's Appraisal Services marketplace. Provide clearer, higher-resolution photos. Add serial numbers, model numbers, and provenance details. Each additional piece of verified information improves your Documentation Score, which can raise your overall grade.
