What is Deal Scope?
Deal Scope is Boss Tag's purchase evaluation tool, accessible from the Digitize page. Instead of digitizing an asset you already own, Deal Scope lets you analyze a potential purchase before you buy it. Snap a photo of the item — a watch at a pawn shop, a house you're touring, a car on a dealer lot — and Deal Scope identifies it with Boss Vision, then runs a real-time market analysis using web search to pull comparable sales, estimate profit margins, and deliver a buy or pass recommendation.
How It Works
From the Digitize page, select 'Deal Scope' mode. Take photos of the item (the more angles, the better). Optionally enter the asking price and the item's address or location (especially important for real estate — this helps find accurate local comparables). Boss Vision identifies the item and its sector, then Deal Scope searches real marketplaces — eBay sold listings, StockX, Chrono24, Zillow, Redfin, Bring a Trailer — for actual recent sales of the same or very similar items.
Understanding the Report
The Deal Scope report includes a verdict (Strong Buy, Buy, Fair, Overpriced, or Pass), an estimated profit margin based on asking price vs. market value, a list of real comparable sales with prices, platforms, and dates, market insights about demand trends and price direction, risk factors specific to the item, and a detailed recommendation. All data is sourced from real web search results — Deal Scope never fabricates comparable prices.

Accuracy and Limitations
Deal Scope's accuracy depends on the availability of comparable sales data online. Well-known items (popular watch references, common car models, properties with public listing history) produce highly accurate reports. Rare or one-of-a-kind items may have limited comparables, and the report will indicate this honestly. For real estate, providing an address dramatically improves accuracy because the AI can search for the exact listing or nearby sales.
